Playing Vocabug
How do I play?
Guide the worm with the on-screen arrows, swipe gestures or supported keyboard controls. Collect all required letter fruit, reach the portal, then rebuild the translated word from the fruit pieces.
Why does the same level show a different word?
This is intentional. A puzzle can be replayed with another word, so the 4,500 level layouts can teach a much larger vocabulary without repeating the same lesson every time.
Do I have to start at A1?
No. Choose any CEFR band that suits your current level. A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 and C2 each include free levels to try.
What is the Word Garden?
The Word Garden is a visual record of vocabulary you have encountered. It grows through eight stages as your learning history expands.
Progress & purchases
Where is my progress stored?
Progress is stored locally on your device. Vocabug has no account and does not upload or sync your learning history to a Vocabug server.
How do I restore the full-game purchase?
Open Settings and choose Restore Purchase while signed in to the same App Store account used for the original purchase. A network connection may be required to contact the store.
What happens if I delete the app?
Deleting the app removes data from its local app container. Depending on your Apple backup settings, some device data may be recoverable through an iPhone or iCloud backup, but Vocabug itself cannot restore it remotely.
How do I reset progress?
Use Settings → Reset progress. This removes local level and word-learning progress. The action cannot be undone inside Vocabug.
Troubleshooting
The game has no sound.
Check the music and sound controls in Vocabug, then confirm your device volume and silent-mode settings. Restart the app after changing audio output devices.
I found a word or translation that looks wrong.
Please email the source language, target language, CEFR band, level number and the exact word pair. A screenshot is especially helpful.
